community potluck dinner afterwards at 7pm
A special gong bath event to honor and soak in the deep healing of this full moon! A potluck with the Kundalini community will follow this relaxing event, so bring a small dish to share (if you wish).
“Vibrate the cosmos, and cosmos shall clear the path.” ~Yogi Bhajan
The gong is a sacred and ancient sound instrument of deep healing, rejuvenation, and transformation. It synthesizes the entire human system so that you come into complete harmony. To heal is to make whole, so when there is a basic harmony in the body, healing happens naturally.
On a basic level, the gong relaxes tension and blocks in the body, stimulates the glandular and nervous systems into higher, more balanced functioning. It increases prana, our vital life force, and improves circulation. The gong also works deeply on the mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. It can cut through the clutter of the mind.
The sound of the gong represents the current of the creative life force, the kundalini. This happens naturally and we are allowed to rest into this most natural space of resonance. It’s a deep returning to who we are, in our essence.
You’ll be guided through a brief warm up, then it’s rest time. You’ll lay down in savasana as Nicole Nardone plays the gong for the majority of the time. This event is donation based. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a gong for use in Nicole’s Kundalini Yoga classes, workshops, and special events. Anything raised beyond the cost of the gong will be donated to One Yoga Nonprofit Yoga Studio’s outreach program helping bring yoga to underserved areas of the twin cities.
